Favorite Dame Of The Day

Whenever I think of ethereal beauty and graceful acting, I tend to think back to the days of the silent film era, the days that saw Lillian Gish rise to fame. She was "an exquisitely fragile, ethereal beauty" as her friend, D.W Griffith, once perfectly described the silent film great. Lillian Gish is one of the most famous names that silent films ever produced. She won over the hearts of everyone worldwide with her immense talent and angelic beauty.

Lillian Gish was one of the few silent stars to make the transition into talking pictures; however, Gish preferred acting in silents. She will forever be in our mind as one of the greatest actresses and beauties of the silent era.

If you have not seen one of Gish's films, it takes but a simple photograph of her to utterly fascinate you.
